It
looks like Duke
University has
another rape case on its hands. This one may hurt the university nearly as
much as the one that rocked its campus back in 2006. Unlike the previous
case, this one appears to involve a credible confession of sexual abuse.
Like the previous case, crucial facts are already being filtered through
the prism of identity politics.

Reading:
1. 1776, by David McCullough.
It’s very interesting
to read a book focusing largely on our first president and to think about
his courage, character, and qualifications in contrast with our nation’s 44th
president. Revolution anyone?
2. Revolution:
A Manifesto, by Ron Paul.
I’ve enjoyed reading
several of Newt Gingrich’s latest books. But does Newt offer change that is
sufficiently radical? Don’t we need a real (second) revolution in America?
3. Diversity:
The Invention of a Concept, by Peter Wood.
This is a great book, which
helps explain the mess we are in today in higher (hire) education.
4. Liberty and Tyranny, by Mark Levin.
This is the best book
of 2009 and a great supplement to Ron Paul’s manifesto.
5. Dreams from My Father,
by Barack Obama.
This is a must-read
because its shows just how race-obsessed President Obama is and has been
all of his life. In addition to being our first black president, he is also
our first metrosexual president. He recalls, in vivid detail, meeting a
Reverend Phillips in the 1980s “As still as a portrait, only his snow-white
hair clearly visible, his voice sonorous and disembodied, like the voice of
a dream.” (Obviously, he did not write this – it was written by a woman or
a gay poet). He even claims to remember the exact temperature on the days
he met certain people in the 1980s. But he has selective amnesia on the
sermons of Jeremiah Wright.
